If you visit DAV College in Sector 10 of Chandigarh, you realise it is no ordinary educational institution. In fact this particular college has the habit of churning out bravehearts who have laid down their lives for the country. According to a report in Jagran, former students of this college have fought for the country at the front and ensured that we emerged victorious through their sacrifice. As many as 13 students have laid down their lives.
आज हम आपको एक ऐसे कॉलेज की गौरवगाथा बताने जा रहे हैं, जिसकी पहचान शहीदों के कॉलेज के तौर पर है। इस कॉलेज के विद्यार्थियों की रगो में देशभक्ति का जज्बा बहता है। कॉलेज की आबोहवा में ऐसा रंग घुला है कि पहले विद्यार्थी सेना में शामिल होता है और बाद में सरहद पर जाकर दुश्मनों के छक्के छुड़ा देता है। कॉलेज के कई विद्यार्थी शहीद भी हुए हैं और उनका नाम देश के इतिहास में सुनहरे अक्षरों से लिखा जा चुका है। उनकी गाथाएंसमय-समय पर सुनाई जाती हैं। जो भी इनके शौर्यता और वीरता के किस्से सुनता है उसके रोंगटे खड़े हो जाते हैं. इस कॉलेज ने देश को चिरकाल तक मस्तक ऊंचा रखने वाले सपूत दिए।
